SALUS ANIMARUM: A Documentary About the Episcopal Consecrations of 2026
The documentary SALUS ANIMARUM, dedicated to the episcopal consecrations of July 1, 2026 in Écône, will be available on Sunday, November 1.
On that day, four new bishops were consecrated for the Society of Saint Pius X, in the presence of nearly 17,000 faithful from around the world. Thirty-eight years after the consecrations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in 1988, this ceremony is a continuation of his work in service to the Church and Catholic Tradition.
Through exclusive testimonies and previously unseen images, the film revisits the reasons for these episcopal consecrations, their preparations, the unfolding of the ceremony and the reactions it aroused.
Despite the crisis that the Church has been going through for several decades, SALUS ANIMARUM recalls the principle to which the SSPX intends to remain faithful: the salvation of souls is the supreme law.
The documentary will be broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Society of Saint Pius X, with subtitles in several languages.
